Ford unveils the fastest and most powerful Mustang in history, the Shelby GT500

The Shelby GT500 is the most powerful commercial car ever made by Ford. The GT350 is powered by the 5.2 V8, Ford's most powerful naturally aspirated engine ever made on the market, and topped with a supercharger, and the new Shelby GT500 delivers 760 hp.

The classic American muscle sports car Ford Mustang needless to say, and just after the outside world has been waiting for a long time, Ford also officially revealed the Mustang Shelby GT500 Mustang sports car, with an astonishing output of 760 horses/86.4 kg of torque peak, which is undoubtedly the "most powerful Mustang" king that can be legally driven on the road in active service.

It is understood that the Mustang Shelby GT500 is equipped with the same 5.2-litre V8 supercharged engine as the GT350, which is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, which squeezes the horsepower to the peak torque fury of 760 hp/86.4 kg in one fell swoop and adopts a non-planar crankshaft design to improve durability. As for acceleration performance, the official only said that the Shelby GT500's 0–400-meter acceleration is within 11 seconds, while the electronic top speed performance can reach 290km/h.

In addition to the breakthrough in power performance, Ford engineers also provided the Mustang Shelby GT500 with four exhaust sound modes. Also, they used the noise cancellation system in the cabin to give the driver and occupants a comfortable environment with the sound of the large-displacement V8 engine.

In addition, Ford has further optimized the aerodynamics of the Mustang Shelby GT500, improving the powertrain cooling efficiency by 50% through a revised front bumper, and can generate an additional 227kg of downforce at speeds of 290km/h through a large carbon fiber spoiler rear wing with the optional Carbon Fiber Track Package. Other equipment includes carbon wheel frames and Recaro thickened suede racing seats, which are suitable for the upper body to be soft.

Based on the latest sixth-generation Mustang version, the GT500 strongly exudes the image of a muscle car.

In particular, the front grille of the GT500 is vast enough to make the GT350 look gentle, and the grille looks almost twice as large. Compared to the GT350, it allows 50% more airflow to the engine, but it was also used for design purposes.

The GT500 looks aggressive as if trying to devour everything in front of the road. The top grille is flanked by standard Mustang headlamps, while slightly larger rectangular fog lamps flank the middle insert. Like the splitter below, the side vents are also larger. As a unique feature, the wider front fender, in particular, extends towards the front fascia and wraps around the headlamps and lower vents. This further enhances the intimidating appearance of the GT500.

The GT500 utilizes Mustang's latest 12-inch instrument cluster with new, sportier graphics. The layout changes depending on the driving mode selected for this car. The Dash's 8.8-inch the infotainment display is also familiar and features the same SYNC3 operating system. SiriusXM and FordPass Connect are also included.

Unique features include revised trim and redesigned seats on the dashboard and center console. But the most excellent features that set the GT500 apart, start with the carbon fiber trim on the dashboard and the door panel inserts in the dark slate Microsuede, starting with the accent stitching.

The high-performance coupe has the latest 5.2-litre V-8 and 2.65-litre root-type superchargers under the hood.

Initial rumors expected an output of 755 horsepower, but Ford revealed a slightly more powerful rating -760 horsepower. It produces a whopping 625lb-ft of torque. This rating makes the Shelby GT500 the most powerful and road-friendly Ford, while the 5.2-litre unit turns into the V-8 with the world's most powerful and powerful torque.

The pony car that the GT500 struggles with is the Hellcat Redeye. The Hellcat Redeye delivers 797 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque with less power. Compared to the Shelby GT500, it adds 37 horsepower and 82 lb-ft of torque.
